Manfred Mann's Blinded By The Light "glide" effect

Hi everyone,

This is my first post although I've been reading this forum for a while now and I've learnt a lot of things about modular synths from you guys, so first of all thank you for that :) I've got an A-100 basic system 2 that I mainly use for recording and now I'm a bit stuck and asking for your kind help. It might be a silly question, so don't tell me off please :)
I need to recreate the Minimoog "glide" effect in Manfred Mann's version of Blinded By The Light. You can hear it on this live recording, it starts around 1:56

Actually I used apostrophes cause I'm almost sure it's not done with the Glide feature of the Minimoog, I think it's just envelopes. That's what I'm experimenting at the moment on my A-100, I connected the ADSR's outputs to the CV inputs of my oscillators, but this way the increasing pitch doesn't stop on the particular key I hit, but keeps increasing endlessly. I'm sure it's something to do with the ADSR settings, I just can't figure out what... Any help would be very appreciated.

By the way here's a little introduction from me, about a year ago just after purchasing my A-100 system I tried to recreate Keith Emerson's famous solo patch on Lucky Man:

All the best,

Hmm... The basic system 2 appears to include an A-190-1... so I believe you could either start off with a low note, set the glide to slow, glide to the high note, then set the glide to a much quicker time, using MIDI controller data...

Or you could set it up so that pitch bend has a very wide range, and start off with the pitch bend wheel held down to the bottom, so you're starting off way out of tune and slowly glide up to the right note that way.

Might either of those work?
