Hi list,

Not only becomes a modular synthesizer programmable so that you can save your patches by using the patch matrix, which is a wonderful thing but think of the use in combination with a A-129 vocoder:
Isn´t it annoying that you have to change all connections between the analysis and the synthesis module when you want to realize a formant shift or a inversion of the filter bands? Takes lots of time, indeed.
So just imagine the ASol patch matrix between the two modules... nice, isnt it? An analog vocoder with memory, so that you can change connections by a press of a button or by MIDI.
A real must-have for me!

Your opinions or ideas for the use of this device?

best,
Paul

wow!great,indeed,...
i asked tom carpenter(an.sol.)and he told me that he
dousn't know yet what the power consumption of the
module @5 volts will be.that might mean thatif it
needs more than 100mA@5volts will need tha optional
5volts power supply.(this need installation in the
a100 rack,and,and....)but if the patchmatrix only need
up to 100mA@5volts than all we have to do is plug a
5volts adaptrer to the system bus.so,this would be
great to have in any a100 system.the
digimatrix, also, fits perfectly to the a100 rack with
the need of any mods....
bakis.

now you're talking, i thought about this myself. but let's not stop
at the vocoder, how about the A191 and the A192? just imagine.

another thing is midi and cv control of the switching. wonder how
this unit behaves with fast EG's or LFO's?

The most obvious application would be for live performances. I
remember Keith Emerson used to have something like this connected
to his Moog modular. It was a big, custom-made contraption that
allowed the synth to be re-patched on the fly. Later, I guess it
become more practical to put half a dozen RS Integrator systems on
the stage, and change patches by changing synthesizers.
