Dark Energy Arpeggiator

Dark Energy Arpeggiator

I'm getting some odd behaviour out of the arp in my Dark Energy Mk1.

All modes and controller messages to control the arp give the expected behaviour, apart from the "Overwrite" mode. When in that mode, which should arp around the last 6 notes played, then gradually overwrite each of those 6 as more are received via MIDI, the following behaviour occurs:

First 6 notes received - works as expected.
7th note - totally ignored.
Next 6 notes correctly overwrite the 1st six one by one.
Next note - totally ignored.
...and so on.

I've checked the MIDI stream, and fed the notes from different sources, and the correct notes definitely appear to be going into the DE - it's just that every 7th one gets ignored.

This doesn't seem to be correct behaviour, so I'm wondering if it's an issue in the firmware, or whether my DE has developed a rather obscure fault.

Any thoughts/advice from anyone?

Please contact Christian Assall (software@doepfer.de). He is the programmer
of the Dark Energy firmware.
