A-110-5 Tillman Oscillator

A-110-5 Tillman Oscillator

2015-09-26 by Alexander Catlin-Freytag

Dear All,

Just wondering if there is any news regarding the A-110-5 Tillman Oscillator, and whether there were any more details or a panel mockup available.

All the best,

Alex

There were no proceedings during the last time as our focus was and still is on the announced new modules A-180-3, A-168-1, A-157
and A-190-5. A-180-3 will be available about middle of October, A-168-1 and the A-157 modules about November. There were still some
improvements of the A-157 (much more features than planned originally and introduction of a SHIFT key, 4 function inputs instead of
only 2 ....). That's why there was an additional delay of the A-157. As soon as the A-157 is finished we will continue with A-190-5
and then some other modules (incl. more Thru-Zero VCOs).

Best wishes

P.S. Next week I'm not in the company because of a business trip

What is the advantage over the A-110-4 Quadrature Oscillator?
He says, that he has to convert the Trapezoid into classic waveforms. And there is a dead simple principle, which no one can solve: Waveformconverters do not work with FM.

Example: If we put a trapezoid-to-rectangle converter after trapezoid-FM-oscillator, we do not get the FM signal of rectangle oscillators. Instead we get, what a rectangle-converter makes from a FM'ed signal. And that is simply the same that every fuzzbox for guitar players does. I do not need a new type of oscillator that for.

The main advantage are the available waveforms sawtooth and triangle. The trapezoid can be easily converted into sawtooth and
triangle by adding/subtracting.
The A-110-4 generates only sine/cosine.

Best wishes
