low output level on A-129 vocoder

2015-12-30 by lahebr2000@yahoo.se

Hi!

I own the vocoder A-129 1 & 2. I don't know if there is a problem with it, but I get a extremely low output. Is there any way to boost the the level? I try to feed it a prerecorded audio sample (normalized) but it still seems quite low.

Best,

Lars

The A-129 expects audio levels which are usual in a modular system. The
typical signal-level in a studio (or even worse in hifi) is much lower.
You may try to use the headphone out of your sampler, but a
preamplification with the A-119 would be the correct way.

Hello Florian!

I experimented further last night and boosted the levels considerably as you suggested. I also used an EQ to cut away the bass and highs and that really helped a lot too.

Thank you for the quick reply.
