I've got a few Roland MC-202s and have had older gear that needs DIN sync (hence my Kenton Midi-DIN Sync converter box that lives happily in my rig). I do know the difference ;-)
I just hoped the reset issue was a case of getting a positive pulse to the A190-4, but I understand the transmission of digital MIDI Start-Stop messages (as well as transmission of CC messages etc and all things MIDI) is the issue here.
