Current (A) usage of Basic System 2 LC9?

Current (A) usage of Basic System 2 LC9?

2016-11-23 by ville@oikarinen.org

Hallo, fellow enthusiasts. Greetings from Finland.

Yesterday I just received my A-100 Basic System 2 LC9, the first analog (or modular) synth I've ever owned. We had a lot of fun with my son and already got some very nice sounds our of it with very simple patches. (Even my wife, who otherwise hates many electronic sounds, especially the SID, didn't complain :-)

My first question is this: how much current capacity do I have for expansion? The manual clearly documents the maximum value (2000mA), but do I really need to consult the manual of each individual module to count how many amperes I'm currently using? I would assume somebody has already done this. Forgive me, if this is a FAQ, but I don't know where to find this information.

On my opinion, users barely reach the amount of 2A, it's a lot. By the way, you can sign in at www.modulargrid.net and set a copy of your own real case: it will keep the required current amount updated. You may add modules which you don't own yet and see how much current will still be available with the new configuration.

Best,
Diego

You my use the Excel file on our website to calculate the total currents of
all modules installed in the system:

Thanks, I did just that. And thanks to Dieter also, good to know there
is an alternative way, the spreadsheet.
