A-150-8 Octal Manual/Voltage Controlled Programmable Switches

A-150-8 Octal Manual/Voltage Controlled Programmable Switches

2017-01-20 by acgenerator@att.net

A few questions/comments based on what limited info is available.

1) Curious as to why the Master/Slave mode? Couldn't this be accomplished by simply normalling the CV jack to the row above? This could potentially enable the same CV to be a toggle one row and be level on the next...for lack of a better term "overloading" the functionality of a single CV source.

2) when master/slave, can one switch be 2 in>1Out and the other 1in>2out etc?

3) reply " or by the state of the manual control button (not pressed = I/O1, pressed = I/O2)"...

would actually prefer manual toggle on/toggle off each press than a "hold on, release for off" for a number of reasons. (space to operate when patched, not losing a free hand, lifetime of the button, personal preference)

This would affect only the CV inputs. But you may also want to switch all
switches of the group manually.

Not sure what you mean. The switches are bidirectional, like normal
mechanical switches. Or do you mean that the state of the master switch is
copied to the slaves (that's how it is now, i.e. the states of the slaves
are overwritten by the state of the master switch).

I/O1, pressed = I/O2)"...

Also not sure what you mean.

thanks for the reply.

re:
1) i was only thinking about CV/automated function, i didn't account for manual control.

2) make i can explain better:
if Switch1 is Master and Switch2 is slave, Can the Master be used as 2 sources-> 1 Destination while the Slave is used 1Source -> 2 Destinations switched synced to the Master? e.g. while Master = Source1 to Destination, Slave=Source to Destination1 and while Master=Source2 to Destination, Slave=Source to Destination2.

In short, is a Slave's signal flow direction (not state) independent of the Master and other Slaves? or is the signal flow direction of a slave restricted to match its master?

3) the description makes it appear as you much hold the manual button down. Can this be a push (not hold) to switch state instead?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
