I was one of the first A157 owners I think, bought two sets that time.
Had some friendly conversations about firmware and bugs which where mostly covered with updates.
But indeed, the limited success of this quite unique and very direct trigger sequencer was due to that same lack of progress.
I think it was launched too early having a lot of missing implemented functions.
It’s great for quickly building sequences and as clocking device bit in the end, even I as a big fan with a huge wall of Doepfer only, I sold them recently.

Cheers,

Jacco

Hi all frustrated A-157 users. There is an alternate and far better firmware available from a Swiss user. Search on the Muffwiggler forum. Unfortunately I fried my unit so I first have to get it repaired by Dieter.
Regards, Alexander

That firmware discussed in the video looks very promising. As soon as temperatures drop in my studio I'll give it a try.(That could take a while though!)

I've just installed the A 157b firmware and will report back in a few days when I've had chance to play around with it!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
