AS MS20 Filter

AS MS20 Filter

2003-02-18 by Joe Buechler <buechlerjoe@toadmail.com>

Speaking of filters, I remember this question came up once before but
was never answered. Has anyone tried the AS/Phobos "Filtered Cofee"
Korg MS20-type filter? How does it sound?

Joe,

I haven't tried the filtered coffee, but I do have the SY02 filter,
which is a semi MS 20 clone (with a difference). I'll assume the
coffee is just a rack mount version of the SY02 and give my
opinion - buy it. Compared to my original MS20, it sounds pretty
close, only with much more in the way of control. It does have
that lovely overdriven sound, though.

Hope this helps,

same with me, a have a sy02 too and i'm happy with it.
i think the filtered coffee incorporates the sy02,
so it should be a good thing.

and yes, the sound is very close to the original ms20.

best wishes
