additional info from doepfer about another possible module!!!

"I forgot something: we also are about to test a
min/max module for control applications. We think
about 3 inputs and 2 outputs: max and min. The max
output always outputs the maximum voltage of the 3
inputs (i.e. not mixing but pickung out the maximum
voltage out of the three), the minimum output the
minimum.

Example:
input 1 = random voltage ~ 0...+2V
input 2 = triangle LFO ~ -3...+3V
input 3 = ADSR output ~ 0...+7V

If the triangle LFO is in the negative or lower range
(less than random voltage) the max output is the
random voltage. As soon as the triangle LFO goes
beyond the momentary random voltage the max output is
the LFO signal. Whenever a envelope signal occurs the
max output is equal to the envelope signal as soon as
the envelope signal goes beyond the random or the LFO
signal (and this happens in every case as the ADSR
output goes up to +7V). We probably will add an
attenuator and offset control for each input (or at
least for one or two inputs) so that each input signal
could be shifted to the right "position" (there is a
difference between positive control signals like ADSR,
envelope follower output, gate, ribbon CV out, ...
and control signals that are symmetrical with
reference to GND like LFO or random) and attenuated in
the desired way. "

BAKIS:SO,LIST,WHAT DO YOU SAY?????MY OPINION IS THAT
THIS MODULE WHOULD ADD EVEN MORE RANDOMNESS TO OUR
MODULAR SET-UP AND THAT IT SHOULD BE MANUFACTURED!!!
OPINIONS,PLEASE!

Hi Bakis

The idea of the module is very funny, and looks not too difficult to
realize, but I doubt the real usability of this module. I would not pay 50
EUR (or with attenutors assumingly more), for something I wont use more
often than one or two times a year.

I've made a two-input min/max function from a mixer and CV source
for attenuation/offset and the A150 VC switch. A three-input min or
max function would require a second mixer.

I have to agree with Florian, not useful enough to invest the money
or the frame space for something I can already do, and don't need
often.

.. about another possible module!!!

I think this could be a good module, but if adding attenuators why not also
have outputs for the attenuated signals as they are too. In that case it
will also be an attenuator that most will use more perhaps... anyway I am
interested in this module, but it doesn't top my list.
