hello list,martin and linium,
first,i am impressed by your fav modules...the first 2
are o.k.,but the a156 trig.modif.??i,also,have this
module but i haven't used it much.how do you use
it??tell as ideas...
now to linium,
my fav modules:
ALL OF THEM!!!i find them useful every now and then.it
depends on the patch that i create...every module is
needed for a special job!!
well,o.k.,i love the A155 SEQUENCER,the A111 HIGH-END
VCO,the A127 TRIPLE RESONANCE FILTER.
so,you want a polyphonic a100:
you will need,at least,:(4)a110 vco's,(4)a131
vca's,(4)a140 adsr's,(4)a120 moog filter's,(1)a138
exp.mixer,(1)a145 lfo's.that's it for the most simple
4-voice synth!!AND,THE DOEPFER MCV24 running in
polyphonic mode...
BUT, my advice is to go for a very powerful monophonic
a100 in the beggining and then you can make it
polyphonic later...that's what i am doing(at this
moment i have a 3 voice synth,but i don't have the
MCV24 so,it's a 3 midi channel multitimbral synth...
that's all...

That is right, it is not the easy way.
I don't know how do oberheim 4 or 8 voices SEM owners but i believe they have
to set every params for each voice too ?

In fact i am afraid it is a no go, a modular can do it but it would be far
easier if we could buy some semi-modular voices, ie with a prepatched path
VCO->Filter-vca and may be with the possibility to link theses voice-modules
together so that the Q of the filter or the enveloppe settings (for instance)
can be controlled from one module for all others.

But in the meanwhile and because such modules don't exist, i have started to
think at a cheap-ass solution to feed my polyphonic frenzy.
Since i have an old computer with a 4 outs cards, i am going to study the
possibility to build an hybride 4 voice synthesizer using a version of Linux
able to do very low latency.
I will use software synthesis for the vco and real analog 4 LP filters (may
be the DIY oaklay multiladder) and VCA.
For the modulation the midicv24 doepfer is propably the best choice but i
would love to find another way.

But for now, i will go monophonic as you advice. In fact it is the need of
high quality bass line and lead that put me in the modular wagon.

Thanks for your feedbach, (and Buchlerjoe's too)
