Subject: Re: S.O.U. modules poll!!! Hi TD, No, I didn't misunderstood you. I was seriously asking would it be a great loss if one would buy only one module, instead of meaby three? I want to know what I miss out on! I have no experience with the SOU, so I like to know from people who "know it by heart". As I said, not everyone has so much space left, so one needs to be very thoughtfull about which modules to purchase. From what I've read I am very interested in the module. But that was only with one module in mind. Costs for me which are bearable. Costs for 3 modules would probably sneak up to the costs of the morphing filter! So again, what do I miss, when I only buy the first? Believe me I was interested in the vocoder (I have none), but seeing it needed so many modules and the prices it cost, I had to let that go. Beside the enormous amount of space it will take. My suggestion was that instad of realizing half of the functions with existing modules that approximate the functions, I would want to see a series of dedicated modules that are closer to Don Buchla's design, in the same wy the Mixtur-Trautonium project was done. My reasoning behind my opinion was based on the fact that my Doepfer system is based on the Trautonium and I added modules while waiting for the "actual" new modules to be released. This has given me, not only the Trautonium I was seeking BUT added extra functionality from the additional modules. TD
