info from doepfer about the development of the A107 and the A154.

DOEPFER SAYS: "we still have some (minor) problems with the A-107 (not with the module generally but with the slew limiting function). The pure hardware slew limiter is working now but now the disadvantage is that there is no display if the module is still morphing to the new filter or if the new filter is already reached. As long as the slew function was under software control the microcontroller "knew" if the slew/morphing had been finished. So we will try another way: combined soft/hardware slew limiting, i.e. the software has the main control over the slew function and the additional VC hardware slew limiter only irons out the small steps caused because of the 8 bit resolution of the DAC that is used for the VCA control. I will keep you informed about the proceedings. Consequently I cannot confirm that the A-107 will be available in August as we still have to find the final solution for the 100% smooth slew function with display. As soon as we have tested the combined soft/hardware slew function I can tell you more. Thanks for the poll results. The SOU result was not very surprising. But the VC first/last step for the A-154 was really unexpected as it differs completely from the suggestions of other A-100 users (not members of the Yahoo group). Most of these users suggested answer b (only VC last step in all non CV addressed modes) but no d (2 additonal CV inputs). We will discuss in the company the results and see if we really add the additional CV inputs for first/last step. If we would have only the response from the Yahoo group there would be no question and we would simply add the CV inputs. For the oscillator mode we think about another solution: a jumper on the pc board so that the user could select between the two versions. Best wishes Dieter Doepfer" SO...MEMBERS, KEEP ON VOTING FOR THE SOU MODULES AND THE A154!!!:-) BAKIS. ===== synthfreak(parallel worlds) athens-greece [Doepfer_a100] group owner __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
