Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the
Doepfer_a100 group:

What features would you like to see
included in the SENSOR-KEYBOARD module??

  o polyphony(4voices)
  o polyphony(8voices)
  o aftertouch
o gate out for every key
  o digital sequencer
  o analog sequencer

I don´t think so -as the keys might just be the triggers for pots
above the keys a sort of "manual sequencer" that could be triggered
by an external clock or by hitting the correct keys.

I urgently need also a monophonic keyboard. I hope this is included
self-evidently.

For the corresponding output we should have several modes:

1.) "hold" - after releasing the sensor, the output
holds a voltage that corresponds to the level
    of the last N milliseconds.
2.) "real" - after releasing the sensor (=no pressure
on the pad), the output also gives no voltage.
3.) "velocity" - when I hit the sensor the output holds the value
of the first N milliseconds (this gives velocity instead of
    key pressure).
4.) "gated velocity" - when I hit the sensor the output holds the value
of the first N milliseconds. After releasing the sensor the output
returns to 0 Volt (This is useful for dynamic drum electronics).

I do not understand. What should mean "analogue" sequencer? To me this is a
sequencer with knobs to set the tuning. A sequencer inside a keyboard
always
will be "digital" since it gets the tuning info from the keys.

The question is, should it record the velocity or not?

I prefer simple sequencers. To my humble opinien the perfect sequencer is
the one in the Roland SH-101 or JX-3P.

Additionally I'd appreciate some Arpeggiopatterns

hi florian,
your suggestions about the aftertouch are very
interesting...also, about the analog sequencer,it
means that above each key will exist a potensiometer
that will output a given(by the user)value.now as the
sequencer loops from the first key position to the
last, you will be able to activate or deactivate each
step of the sequencer on the fly!!(bu touching the
corresponding key sensor).the digital sequencer would
just record the notes that you play on the
keyboard.for more accurate info just wait a couple of
days...i hope...

I did not think of that, but it is a nice Idea!
