Doepfer

I have uploaded a soundfile comparig the sound of a standard 
VCA and the vactrol-powered Low Pass Gate at:

The patch is as follows:

Identical ramp wave into  a VCA and Low Pass Gate.  A Doepfer 
A-150 switch.  Both are driven by the same envelope generator.

Here's what you're gonna hear:

Eight beats with standard VCA, switched then to eight  with the 
Low Pass Gate - done with three times at different speeds.

Hear the diff!

Yeah, they open up slowly, too.  If you wish to give it a snap, you 
just add a little chiff VC on it form a spike transcient.  that way, 
you still get the decay.

Somehow I couldn´t open the file but I tried this: Click the link with 
the right mouse button and choose "save link target". When the dialogue 
appears where can decide where to save the file and which name it should 
have, then rename the file to: LPG_VCA_compare.mp3
