drehbank opinions?

2003-09-01 by Julian

Hi there,

Just wanting some opinions on the drehbank...

Im considering one mainly to control a jomox airbase, and an akai s6000, but
also hopefully an oberheim matrix 1000. On paper the drehbank looks good
for all of these tasks, as far as i can see, but i was hoping to hear some
user opinions?

Im more interested in hearing of annoying bugs and limitations, as i find
that its often the problems that influence my enjoyment of products in a
negative way, rather then the glitzy features influencing in a positive way,
if you see what i mean? Which is probably why i like the a100... an lfo is
not really that exciting, but at least it *always* does *exactly* what it
says on the tin...

I think the drehbank will have some interesting integration with the a100,
as some channels can be configured for external cv input (ie.cv to midi)
thus allowing me to patch a100 control into midi gear too...

Any comments would be reatly appreciated.

a129 1/2 (make me an offer before i ebay it?)

2003-09-01 by Julian

Heys,

It looks like i will eventually get arround to putting my a129 1 /2 up on
ebay.

I was keen on the idea of swapping it for other modules, but that hasnt
happened, so i guess ebay it is.

Doepfer modules, from what ive seen, seem to reach quite a high percentage
of their origional retail value on ebay, but i thought id mention it here
first.

Its in england, but 500g to anywhere in the world is only about a fiver (not
including insurance though - and i havent weighed the module). Its in as
new condition. My ebay feedback rating is over 50 positives, with zero
negative...

As i say, i think itlld do ok on ebay, but if anyone wants to make me an
offer before, if it sounds good, then they can have it.
