Well, for sure one can use the combination A-155 / A-154  as a nice 
multi-stage envelope, but 390 Euros is quite expensive. Although... 
Encore Electronics´ UEG is $289.00 plus MOTM PSU plus custom costs to 
Europe. Is a lot, too.  I take everything back! Still the UEG takes less 
place.

hello,

my personal opinion is, that a multiple eg module will make
much more sense that a multistage envelope. ok, the a154/a155
solution will be big, but it will also be the most versatile
option we can get.

somehow I think I will also prefer a multiple eg or multiple low cost 
lfo even with no leds than a multistage enveloppe.
in fact the low cost lfo seemed a very good basic module to me.

I am also questionning sometimes buying A132, the low cost vca. has 
anyone use this module? is this okay for audio? i am thinking to save 
a bit of space on some A130 and A131 but I am not sure to really 
understand A132?

i like the a132, it is a handy module. but please note that they
are linear, which means that they are not very percussive.
for typical synth sounds they are fine and sound well, for
synth percussion you should better use a vca with exponential
response.

also you have no pots on the a132, so if you need to offset the
vca, you need an additional voltage source like a176 or a129/3.

i have lots of a132 and use them all the time.they're
fine for audio and,actually,i prefer their sound than
the newer version a131's.

hello bakis,

i noticed that issue especially when using envelope followers
with the a132. using an a140 or a141 should work better with
the a132, but maybe it is just me because i tend doing
unusual things when making percussive sounds :-)
