Just for grins, what's the most, er, creative way you've used any of the A100 modules? A ridiculous cludge? So much the better! I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I've used an A175 as a 3-way multiple when the A180s were tied up. What's yours? Joe

hi, the most common abuse is using my A-119 as a mini-multiple. Another one: A-140 is retriggered by a LFO´s square wave and becomes a LFO itself. greetings Paul [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

o.k, hear this trick that i use for my latest track: ELECTRIBE R AUDIO OUT>>INPUT OF A119.AUDIO OUT OF A119>>TRIPLE RES FILTER>>WAVESHAPER>>RING MOD.////ENVELOPE OUT OF A119>>CV INPUT OF A147.///GATE OUT OF A119>>CLOCK INPUT OF A155!!(WITH THIS SET UP, I CONTROL THE CLOCK OF THE A155 BY THE BASS DRUM OF THE ELECTRIBE PATTERN,AND THE VC-LFO FREQ.BY THE OVERALL VOLUME OF THIS PATTERN ////THE VC-LFO CONTROLS ONE OF THE 3 FILTERS OF THE A127 MODULE,AND THE A155 CONTROLS ANOTHER OF THESE FILTERS.ALSO,THE OTHER ROW OF THE A155 CONTROLS THE FREQ. OF AN A111. THE SINE OUT OF THIS A111 IS RING MODULATED WITH THE DISTORTED OUT OF THE WAVESHAPER(THE ELECTRIBE PATTERN).AND THE SINE FROM THE A111 IS LIN.FREQ. MODULATED BY A PULSE FROM AN A110...THAT'S ALL!!HOW IT SOUNDS??AWESOME!!!(DARK AND LO-FI!!!) I MAY RECORD THE SOUND AND SEND IT TO THE DOEPFER SITE FOR ALL OF YOU TO HEAR...WE'LL SEE... synthfreak come on,share your ideas!! --- Paul Schulz <dasfonk@web.de> wrote: > hi, > > the most common abuse is using my A-119 as a > mini-multiple. > Another one: A-140 is retriggered by a LFOs square > wave and becomes a LFO itself. > > greetings > Paul > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > ===== synthfreak(parallel worlds) athens-greece [Doepfer_a100] group owner-moderator __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Hi Joe > I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I've used an A175 as a 3-way > multiple when the A180s were tied up. My standard: A-160 (not clocked) -> I use a logical high output as constant voltage source. The voltage is fed to the CV2 of a VCO. Now I am able to tune the VCO over the complete frequency range. Btw, I want to add switch and a 100kOhm Resistor to the VCO. The resistor will be paralleled to R5 (1MOhm); the switch will select between the 1MOhm and the 100kOhm, which results in a wide tuning range for the "fine"-poti. hi florian, florian say: "..A-160 (not clocked) -> I use a logical high output as constant voltage source. The voltage is fed to the CV2 of a VCO. Now I am able to tune the VCO over the complete frequency range...". PLEASE EXPLAIN!!so,you sent a +5 volts cv signal to the cv2 in of the a111...and what do you accomplish by doing that?? synthfreak ===== synthfreak(parallel worlds) athens-greece [Doepfer_a100] group owner-moderator __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? yes, but, can't you do this without the+5 volts cv signal??(what is this signal useful for??) synthfreak --- Florian Anwander <Florian.Anwander@consol.de> wrote: > Hi Bakis > > > the cv2 in of the a111...and what do you > accomplish by > > doing that?? > Am I writing that unclear??? > > I wrote: > "Now I am able to tune the VCO over the complete > frequency range" > > Needs that explanation? > > Florian > -- > Florian Anwander |ConSol* > HP-Support > Tel. +49.89.45841-133 > |Consulting&Solutions Software GmbH > Fax +49.89.45841-139 |Franziskanerstr. > 38, D-81669 Mnchen > email: florian.anwander@consol.de > |http://www.consol.de > ===== synthfreak(parallel worlds) athens-greece [Doepfer_a100] group owner-moderator __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Hi bakis > yes, but, can't you do this without the+5 volts cv > signal?? Can you tune the VCO continously(!) from the lowest frequency to the highest highest with one button turn? I cannot do this. I have to use the Octave switch and this bothers really if you want to do manual ringmodulator- or hardsync-sweeps. I've tried using the A147 as a VCO, just to see if it was possible (it works fine in the lower registers). I haven't actually used this in a patch, though, so I suppose it doesn't count. Joe
