What do you guys record your a100 systems with, and what are your
results? Analog to digital? Analog to analog? (you get where I'm going).

Just curious as to what other people are doing.

hello james,

usually i don't do multitracking, but if i have to do it,
then i record everything on harddisk, using my studio pc.
but this happens not very often.

best wishes

me too.
i have never used multitracking in any of my tracks so
far. but to tell the truth, when i sample loops from
my a100 or vcs3 into my samplers and then use these in
my tracks, this is a kind of multitracking, right?
maybe in the future i'll use multitracking, though.
bakis.

It depends whether I do use multitracking or not.
For more live orientated stuff, I use the 8track sequencer in the ESQ1,
and do everything in realtime. If I record tha I use either my
Studer-Revox PR99 or Waveburner for Mac, which is a stereo recording
application, that records direct to a CD.

If I want to do multitracking, I use logic 4.7 gold (former Emagic, now
Apple) on a Windows 98 machine with Audiowerk8 interface cards. I use
logic only as a kind of advanced multitrack tape recorder, with only few
pre mixes inside the program. Most mixing is done on my Yamaha 2408 console.
