hello to all !
the spaceball controller looks to be quite interesting but seems to be
lacking one important feature, a gate output for triggering events and using
the spaceball as a replacement controller in lieu of a kybd, etc..
i had raised this same objection regarding the joystick module and mr.
doepfer had told me that i was the first person to raise such an iisue - !!!!
am i a voice in the wilderness ? does anyone else see the need for such a
feature ?
best,
dave

hi dave, great observation and one that would benefit the system as
well. i don't have the joystick module, but may i suggest you use the
A119 module and adjust the threshold to the rate you like for
triggering the gate. i not sure if it would work because the input
might only accept an audio source and not a cv source . plus you may
have to offset the the input gian so it can read the voltage. if
there was a pitch to voltage module, you would be able to do so
without a problem providing there was an adjustable comparator. i
have achieved similar results with an Ems pitch to voltage converter.
good luck.

The spaceball has several buttons. I think, they won't be there useless...
