Re: Andreas new cabinet!

Re: Andreas new cabinet!

2005-09-08 by Martin Rudling

Hi everyone! I´m still in the group, although I haven´t posted for a long
while. Reason; no money for doepfergear; which I had expected. So I´m banned
to the digital alternatives again, which isn´t too bad because I learn so
much in Reaktor 5.0. I know a lot better what kind of modules I will need
now. To please my very eager nerves I bought "Frantic Filter VST" from the
german company Basement Arts. ( www.basementarts.de ) It´s actually a quite
ambitious plug-in, and the filter-emulations give me a nice clue of what to
look for among analogue hardware. My favourites are the Oberheim XP
-filters. (second comes MS20 and third the moogfilters) Is there a good A100
choice for someone with taste for Oberheimfilters? If anyone has tried the
FranticVST it would be nice to hear your statement on the BasementArts
achievement, in comparison to the real thing!

Andreas Eliasson! Suppose youre Swedish! Maybe even Stockholm? I ask because
I would appreciate a visit to your new cabinet multi-much. I haven´t had the
chance ever, to see - nor hear - a A100 in the real time world. And maybe
the visit would make me go wild on buying it for myself...

Regards
Martin

hello martin,

unfortunately i don't know the plugin you mentioned.
the original oberheim filter is an ota design,
similar to the a122 or a123, but i don't have an
oberheim at hand to make comparisons.

best wishes

ingo
