Yes i could do it that, but i need the 138 for other things in a patch, plus i want a dedicated module who can supply me with:
1. 4 x voltage from -5to+5 V, without any input needed.
2. 4 x offset gen. that changes the input cv, from bipolar to a output signal in the negative rage only, or 80%negative&20%positive, not just 50 50 as it is now...
etc etc.
my point is that this module is one of the cornerstones i analog synthesis,
so why go over the bridge for water...???dnfn???

How many linear mixers? (wish 4 a offset generator)

This brings up a topic that seems worth discussing.

When I was starting my system and reading up on the A100, the general
consensus I saw was that the A138a was an important module in an A100
system, and that, like A118's, one needed "plenty" of them, whatever
that might mean.

In my four-row system, I ended up with 2 A138a mixers in addition to
the A138b that I generally use for oscillator mix. I was concerned
that it might not be enough, but so far, two linear mixers seems
neither too few nor too many.

Just out of curiosity, and maybe to help others estimate their needs,
how many A138a mixers does everybody have, and how big is your system?

Joe

hi joe,
i have two A138a mixers,but i must confess that i use
the a138a/b for the same job, both of them.i mean if i
need cv signal mixing,or audio signal mixing i use
either of them.i think that, many times i needed cv
signal mixing and i have, also, used an A138b for the
job... so,i can't tell you that i ,only,needed two
a138a modules.
And i have a 12 rows system...so far;-)
