Hello group! I have found a Formant in quite a bad shape. The owner wants 1000 Euro. Is that a fair price, would you think? Best wishes, Ole, Denmark

Hi Ole and Group I have a big Formant for sale, and I am situated in Denmark. Big means big. 5 VCO, 6 LFO, 3 VCF, 4 ADSR, 4 VCA, Ring, 2 mixers etc. Nice added features like output from each waveform, VCO to VCLFO mode and more inputs/outputs on each module. Different and much better looking front plates. I can post a picture, if you like. Best regards Jens W

I have mention it in last week in a reply to an answer. But here it is in all its glory:
Big wall to wall Formant modular synth for sale. Build in start of the 80\u2019es, based on Formant Modular Synth, but with bigger and better layout of the front panels.
Despice its age in excellent working condition.
Lots of modules: 5 VCO, 3 VCF, 6 LFO, 4 Envelope, 4 VCA, 2 mixers, dual ringmodulator, grafic and parametric equaliser, trigger delay and 2 junktions.
All connection with big jackplugs, and it used the normal V/octave and +5V trigger, so it can be connected up to everything.
Heavy, but comes with two prof. flightcase for its protection. Situated in Denmark, but can be shipped anywhere (buyer pays transport). HBO \u20ac1800

Formant Front Plates....

Hi, All i have been tearing an old formant apart, and found that the frontplates are in bad condition. The holes are bigger than original, some are more oval than round, and some of the front plates contain a fair amount of rust and scratches. Is there still a source for new frontplates ? They have to be in the same sizes since i have already built 2 cabinets that fit the originals perfectly. Also, are there people/companies that are able to provide me with PCB's, since i would like to expand the Formant that i have to more possibilities. Any reply will be greatly appreciated.
