New to group

2005-02-07 by Scott E.

Hi All,

I'm Scott Evans and I am new to this group, but subscribe to several of
the different Y@hoo groups on synths.

I have downloaded the five documents on the Formant from the files
section and wanted to ask the following question: These chapters
encompass what I believe was part one of the Formant construction
series. There was a part two, but I have only seen it in German. This
was not the current formant pro book either. Has anyone seen this second
part printed in English and, if so, have they shown up on the web anywhere?

Thanks for the answers in advance and I look forward to being a member
of this group.

Regards, Scott E.

Hi!
My name is Anders and I have been building synths for quite a time
now. You can find a lot of synth info at:
http://elektra.mine.nu/anders/
and some contemporary pictures at:

Hi Kris,

I was not refering to the new book (Formant Pro 2000). What I was
referring to were additional projects for the original Formant. They
included a touch controller, a pitch detector, digital keyboard
controller, digital noise generator, parametric EQ, Ring modulator,
Phase shifter, VC LFO, plus more. Again, only seen it in German. Any ideas?

LoL, Silly me. Now I know I've seen some information on the web
about these. However I've been doing this project for a few months
now and can't remember where.

Anders who joined the group a few days ago has excellent copies of
some articles. I couldn't look in to these as I'm on a slow dial up
connection until Thursday. Look at his page it's good.
http://elektra.mine.nu/anders/

I will have a good look around again and see if I can find anything
for you, Ok?

Cheers
Kris
