It seems my disk drive has been chopped by a previous owner and from the mutilated wires I doubt I could reinstall one (see mutilation pics at http://philssynths.4t.com/photo2.html ). I'm going to try to work out disk to sysex and how to get them into the SD1. Thanks for the help much appreciated and great to solve the mystery. Phil
