Re: MIDI Out

2004-03-29 by smczech

I want to control the computer from the VFX. I want to record the
MIDI data in Cakewalk or FL Studio. I have MIDI In/Out activity
lights on my sound card and when the VFX is on, it is very unusual -
when I push a key on the VFX, it will blink once, then blink a
several times for about a minute. I would assume it is only supposed
to blink once for every key press and then stop. Either way, there is
no sound being generated in either program on the computer.

I mentioned the Yamaha because I can hook that up the same way and it
works without any setup. Maybe because the Yamaha is General MIDI and
the VFX isn't?

Thanks!
Scott
