Re: MIDI Out

2004-03-31 by homebythe_sea

Hi,

If I understand your question, you want Cakewalk to control the VFX,
and use it like a sound generator.

If thats what you want to do heres how:-

Go to Midi master control section (button to the right of "storage")
and set the receive to MULTI

Then go to the sequencer and make a sequence. Set each track to MIDI
by choosing a track, insert a patch with "replace program", then
press the MIDI button and scroll thru the patch and setup each track
to receive on a different channel, also set each track to MIDI
(default is LOCAL)

As for using the VFX to send keyboard information to the computer,
set your send channel to match the receive channel on the track in
Cakewalk that you want to record.

Hope it helps

BTW, I need OS disks for both the VFX-SD and the SD-1 If anybody has
them, could u please contact me

Thanks
Rich
