Hello again,
I discovered yesterday the sysex dump problem was a computer issue.  
My PC has a integrated soundcard on the motherboard.  Suspecting this 
to be the problem I went out and purchased a soundblaster.  
Everything works great.  Don't much care for integrated video or 
audio.  Stand alone PCI or ISA cards work much more reliably.
