Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

I noticed recently we were talking about controls from the VFX and I 
was wondering:

Do any of you guys really use the Timbre control? I guess I have 
played my Axe now for 10 years and while I have found an occasional 
patch that I could use it on , generally I NEVER have used it, even 
though in general I am a real time knob freak.

Has anyone had a really great experience with it?
