FYI - My VFX-SD always did the same thing, it would get smoking hot. It even seemed to crash more when it got hot. So I put a little clamp fan on the desk with it pointed at the cooling fins and voila. No crashing and reduced heat. Seems it should have had a blower on it when manufactured if you ask me.
