hi,

I had the same problem a few years back.  I searched the internet for 
it and found that ensoniq recognised the problem as there were some 
problems with the assembled keyboards.

At that particular site (sorry ... I don't recall, but I'll search
for 
it again in the hope I'll find it for you) they said you can turn in 
your keyboard at the store you bought it and the problem would be 
fixed, for free.  I made a printout of the website, went to my local 
shop and indeed ... I only had to pay the transport-costs, even
though 
they didn't want to believe me at the first time.

Just for your information : I've been playing the vfx-sd for exactly 
10 years now, had the same problem, got it fixed and haven't suffered 
since. And there wasn't any warrant when I got it fixed.

Hope this information doesn't come too late as I just joined the 
group.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
