These are micro push buttons which cannot be helped much by a spray, I'm afraid. Sounds like something sticky so you could try alcohol. As you've to open the keyboard and remove the display board anyway to access the button it would make much more sense to solder in a new one. You probably get it from radio shack for less than 20 cent. I add a picture of the proper push buttons. Grid is .24, height is .37 inch.
