Sounds pretty basic ... If you want to get into this you might want to educate yourself a bit about MIDI. Try Google with "MIDI tutorial". One of the first figures e.g. in http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/tutr/whatmidi.htm shows how to connect your equipment. You didn't say if you got a PC or a MAC. However, you need a MIDI interface and a pair of cables. More specific qestions and some details what you've tried helps to get answers. RTFM helps too.
