I always get my Ensoniq Gear on Ebay. You might also want to check the Pawn shops in your area. Just make sure the VFXsd doesn't have that miserable circuit board connection problem. Try turning the Keyboard on and running through some sequencing procedures. It will likely show up before long if there is a problem, although this is not a certainty. If you buy online buy only from someone with credible Feedback.

Hi
I am interested in knowing what would be a good price on a used VFX-SD, and where one
might locate one.
Best synth I ever owned, loved the polyphonic aftertouch, and would be very pleased to find
one in excellent condition for purchase in the Los Angeles area.
I look forward to hearing back about this,
Thanks,

The SD1 - 32 was the final version of this board
(depending on your vision , i.e. TS series). I have seen the Sd-1-32 go for 400+
US.$. The TS (which I though I'd switch to) is laid out the
same but in my opinion just doesn't sound as good. I recently picked up a
clean SD-1 for $325 US. My recommendation, get an SD1-32 and feel lucky at
$400 US. You dodge the split board problem error and get the MEG piano and 32
voice polyphonic which comes in handy with larger layers.
