Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

Hi.

I am interested in replacing my SD-1 because it is very shakey and I 
fear it wont last very long. Ideally, I would replace it with another 
SD-1, but they are very hard to come by. I have been offered a pretty 
nice VFX via a online auction site. How does the VFX perform compared 
to the SD-1? I mainly use the SD-1 for strings and pad sounds so I am 
most interested in knowing how these sounds differ from the two 
synths.
