I think I read somewhere that the SD-1 was the premier synth that had the piano mega-waves, but I don't know if it was the only one and I don't know if the original VFX can use them. Yesturday I read on the board that the two(SD-1 and VFX) are not compatible, but I was sure the VFX-SD and SD-1 were until yesturday. One of the guys I met in a music store told me the original VFX was a toss out, but I have heard alot of good words about it from musicians who wanted to get a certain type of sound. I was planning on making some of my own programs soon, but I have no idea where to start. I want to make a United States "Back Home to Rock and Beyond" program library for the synth. I was experimenting last month and found a good american distorted rock guitar preset, but I forgot to save it and lost it.
Sorry but I am not much. I got this sequencer in a trade that was not very good, the truck I traded,
died on the way home. I have been playing and writing music since I was 5. I have written over 33 arrangements and compositions with lyrics. Now what I am doing is my dream work... adding the tick tocks of the clock, the ding dong bells, and the dynamic strings that you used to only get with a full orchestra. This SD-1 is my dream come true... I have always wanted a synth to make sounds with, this SD-1 is the entire black box all in one neat and tidy package...picture a kid in his first glass shop! Do you know if those synth books on ebay are any good? I need to make some jet aircraft, and earthquake sounds for a couple of songs.
