AW: [Ensoniq-VFX-SD] SD-1 Finally Concked Out

2007-10-27 by Hans Artmann

There are lots of answers to this in the archive. Although there are also lots of instructions in the file section of the group for replacing the battery i guess this is not your problem. The SD would say BATTERY LOW first.
Look for the fuses instead. They are placed in the power supply unit left hand when you open the cover (and there's a main fuse at the back which I've never seen blown).

That's exactly what my SD did last summer. I tried it again today, but no activity. Please tell if you got it
running. I think I had this problem 10 years ago and took it to service. I think they replaced the battery.
Maybe they also gave it an over all service (the spade lugs mentioned here etc). But I don't think I can
find any service in Finland anymore. I'm going to do that myself. Replacing the battery shouldn't be that
hard. Anyone done that? One must obviously solder it from same side that the pins go through the
board.
