Betreff: [Ensoniq-VFX-SD] Searching for specific soundbanksHi all,
I'mn still searching for the following VFX soundbanks:
- Valhala (It seems to me that they produced two different volumes)
- Sound Source Unlimited SSI-V102 "Super Stage &; Studio"
I wrote to Bob Grey - who is selling now SSU products - an he only
owns a VFX-SD floppy disk version that he e-mailed to me with a
little program which permits to store it on a VFX-SD formatted disk.
As I own a VFX non SD model (without internal floppy disk driver), I
sent it to a friend of mine who is working with a SD model, but he
didn't succeed in opening this file
- KidNepro: Steve Proto (KNP's manager) physically owns one VFX-SD
floppy disk (the last one!) with this soundbank stored on it. He
kindly sent it to me a few years ago in such a way I convert it for
him in a sysex format. But when my friend tried to open it on his VFX-
SD, a "disk error" message gave it impossible
So, if someone here has the possibility to make a sysex (*.syx), a
SMF (*.mid), a SoundQuest (*.Pgb) or a SoundDiver (*.lib) version of
it, it would be great!

Disk
error on the SD is not very specific. Sometimes such disks can
partly or even wholly recovered using the right SW environment.
I've
managed to rescue a disk for someone a while ago. You can also try to educate
yourself how it could be done. I've posted all
my
tools to the file section.
Let me
know if you need any help
