That's exactly what I'm doing - I have a sequencer and a few other bits
and pieces hooked up.

So to recap - Presets don't work the way I thought they did can can't be
used for multi-channel multitimbral settings, but I can blat the
appropriate sysex across to set up a Multi.  Is that right?
