Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

my vfx-sd came to me with a dead regulator. replacing it brought the synth back, but it still ran hot. I pulled the 4 regulators away from the heatsink enough to replace the old insulators with new Therma-film ones. Then, I got a little aluminum TO-220 heatsink and put it in front of the +12 regualtor ( the five-legged one) so the regulators metal tab is sandwiched between the new heatsink and the old external one. (using hearsink grease)

www.route66studios.com had the external fan kits, but they were out the last time i checked.
