hello. Just picked up an SD-1 32-voice for cheap. Looks and sounds great. PO sold because the display was "werid". Found 4 segs in each character were dead. All were driven from the same chip, U4. Replaced it and now all segments light correctly. Problem is, all OFF segments in ALL characters have an elevated 'background glow' that makes it hard to read - even with the smoked cover in place. All voltages check OK. All other synth functions and sound perfect. Did hard reset. No change. Can anyone offer some help and advice? Thanks Bill
