I have actually managed to find 2 decent sites with Ensoniq VFX-SD sounds on it!
I only have one further problem - I now can't get these files onto my synthesiser, or so it seems!
It looks like you need a midi card installed in your computer to transfer the .syx files across via midi. Well, I don't have one of these, and in fact there aren't even any computers on the same floor as my synthesiser, so this really isn't practical!
I was wondering if there's any way that you can put these .syx files on a floppy to then read on the synthesiser? I'm sure there must be some way as on the VFX-SD operating system disks it has sound banks on it. All I want to do is put my own sound bank from my computer onto a floppy, so is this possible?
Many Thanks,
Jonathan.

unless some one sends the sysex to the the synth
then saves to floppy for you make an image so that you can write the image to
floppy
there is no other way to get the sysex into your
synth if you do not have a comp near by
a laptop with a cheap usb interface would be better
then you send the sysex your self and save that to disk
or take your synth to where your comp is do the
transfers save to disk
then put your synth back to the room and load the
disks to your hearts content
