Upgrading VFX SD OS??

Hi there,
 
I'm new to the group and have just recently acquired a VFX SD (mark 1)
 
What's the best way to upgrade the OS?  Please bare in mind I'm running
Windows XP on my PC.
 
Also, the keyboard wasn't supplied with any manual..does anyone know
where I can purchase one?
