Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

How do I transfer files from my PC to my Synth? Can I load the files 
on a floppy, or do I need a cable? Could someone please explain the 
process, and the meaning of the file extensions. What software do I 
need?

My synth is a VFX-SD. I have some *.syx files that I would like to 
put on my synth.

Sorry for the dumb questions, but I'm new to this.

Any help much appreciated.
