Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

Hello,

I am new to this forum.

I have an Ensoniq SD1 32 voice.
Steinberg usb to midi with 2 in and outs
Laptop Pentium 3

I have downloaded SoundLib from this Forum, and have had a little 
difficulty.

My bank of 60programs transferred over to my laptop, but when press 
test, my SD1 says system exclusive error.

Any thoughts.

Could it only work with the original SD1 and not the 32 voice one with 
distortion and other features. It may not recognize sysex for the new 
effects or other stuff.

Has anyone got a 32voice? What are you using?

I am Dyslexic, and have never really got technical on creation of 
sounds, but use the sequencing all the time. I have Used this since new 
10 years ago, Here in England. Before that, in Seattle, I used the 
original 32 voice, and before that, in Vancouver I used VFX SD, from 
early 1990.

I am starting, in my old age (40) to try use my Ensoniq with PC for 
creation, and arranging manuscript, and I will likely ask for advice.
