Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

Hi guys (and girls, too)

I bought a 2nd-hand VFX-SD which I believe has been upgraded to SD1.
The only problem is that the disks the previous owner provided have a
scratch on them so I can't seem to load from them. I tried a number of
sites for the version it seems to accept, and even ordered Vers. 2
thinking I could possibly upgrade afterward. However, even this disk
does not work. 

The 'error message' says that the version is incompatible with the
system.

Can anyone provide me with a solution to this problem? If so, I welcome
your prompt reply so I can get back to work as soon as possible.

For your interest, I am a pianist at a resort hotel in Bermuda. I use
the Ensoniq to programme and play my background accompaniment. I know
there are other sequencers much smaller and lighter, but as they say,
familiarity breeds contentment.
