Sorry, Hans, I can't explain it either. You could check out the source for the original single-floppy freedos that I built it from, see if it has the same problems: http://neons.hackers.lv/bootfd/ Or check any of the other freedos sites to see if there's any bugs that explain it. To quote myself from before, "I don't use DOS or Freedos or anything like that on a regular basis. I don't prefer or recommend freedos over any other options..." Most of the partitions on my systems are not NTFS nor FATxx, but ext2 or ext3! [If you know what that means, fine. If not, just know that in addition to DOS, I don't run windows all that much, either. ] --> Steve
