Guys I wanted to pass this on to all of you considering using HD discs with the tape over the hole trick. This still will not allow you to use the extra space on the 1.44 disc, it only allows you to use the HD disc and with mixed results at best. Here's is one of about 15 reasons NOT to do this. Let's say you decide to do this HD trick and use the HD discs for ALL your important work. Then later down the road your original drive fails and you install a new drive then you find out you can't seem to get the HD discs to read back!! All your hard work is lost and many times this will be the same case when trying to use the same disc in another VFXSD/SD1 series. The reason (and others) being that the data was not correctly aligned on the HD disc making it imposable to retrieve from the new drive. This happens alot and is one of the best reasons to use the correct discs. Rich
