Older OS, with a newer VFX -SD

Older OS, with a newer VFX -SD

2004-04-06 by keyman_88

Hey all,

I just aquired another VFX SD. This one is in near perfect condtion.
It came with the original factory OS 1.37 disk.. It loads fine and
all is well.
I tried loading my OS version 2.10 into it and booom, bang, OS not
supported?

Yipes.
So what do I need to do to get this thing to load the OS 2.10.

I noticed on the OS version 1.37 there is NO STEP RECORDING.
That byes!!!!!

Any help is always welcome!

PS...

If anyone needs a copy of the OS or sound disks, let me know.

I have roughly 22 disks all with different sounds.

Maybe a favor for a favor?

Hi Keyman And All,

First, I Just Joined The List. I Got A VFX-SD On Ebay, Mostly As A
Polyphonic AT Midi Controller, But I Hope To Use It As A Synth Also And
Squeeze Some Juice Out Of The Synth. I Also Have An SQ2 Back From The
Begining of the Nineties, And Notice It Has The Same Waveforms. So, There Is
Not That Much Difference At First Glance, But Always Stuff Escapes From Our
Knowledge! Do Anyone Knows Where I Can Find A Manual Online, or a Hard Copy?

Also, Do You Still Load All Your Voices Via Floppy or Cartdrige? Or Use Some
App To Load Them Straight From The Computer?

Thanks,
Kaltar

The manuals are available through www.Route66studios.com also there is much information about the VFXSD in the FAQ section of this group, hope it helps.
